Several people have asked if I will be doing any London book signings for Tout Soul. The answer is 'YES!': my favourite bookstore, Waterstones Kensington High Street, has very kindly invited me back for a second time.

I'll be signing copies of Tout Soul between 6.30 - 8.00 pm on Tuesday, May 8th, so if you live in or near west London, do come along and say hello. There will be aperitifs, there will be books, and there will hopefully be Biff (ancient Golf permitting).

Recent signings in France made me realise how lucky I am to have such terrific readers. Highlights included meeting Twitter friends Rosie L, Richard (practically my neighbours in the Poitou) and Rosie G who co-runs a gite business in the region Arbre de Cerise.

I especially enjoyed meeting Mary who told me that she drove a camper van to France alone, age 72, and gave me some great gardening tips for my courtyard. Mary, you were an inspiration and you were right about the rhododendron.

I also loved hearing how one reader, and soon-to-be Champniers resident, read my books in the early hours of the morning on his Kindle with a wide-awake baby over his shoulder.

Thank you to The Mad Hatter's Kitchen, la Grande Galerie and to Jeanne and Ian at the bar in Champniers, who put together a very entertaining (for me anyway) audio visual display. Biff was transfixed as pictures of his face flashed up on the screen, to a specially selected soundtrack. Much impressed Ian!

Finally, an early warning to people in the Dordogne: Biff and I will be coming to Eymet for a signing in August [dates and details to be confirmed].

I so, so, so wish you could come to the US for a book signing! I just finished Tout Soul and absolutely loved it. What an amazing book! Karen, you're a fantastic writer and I hope you have plans to write Tout 4, 5, 6... I was also wondering, is there a way to read your fashion articles online? I'm not sure I could get my hands on the actual magazines here. Good luck with the book signings!

Just finished Tout Soul! I recommended your books to the ladies in my book group and I allowed my best friend, Susan, to borrow my copies. As I told my book group, You will feel as though you have taken a trip to rural France. Hoping there will be a fourth book Ka Renne!!!:)

Do you have any more official book signing planned for this summer? I can then arrange my French trips or work in London to coincide.

I'm just re reading Tout Sweet, Tout Allure and Tout Soul.....Even better 2nd time around:)

Eagerly awaiting quatre.....

Hi Arlene,

thanks for your email and also your review on US Amazon (I think it was you?) which is really helpful, as the books are very 'below radar' in the US. And yes, I'm planning the fourth book.

all best

Karen

Dear Anna,

thanks for you lovely comment on the books. I'd LOVE to do a US book tour but at the moment my books sell in tiny quantities in the US and are very 'below radar'. But I'm working on it and hope to see you in a branch of Barnes & Noble one day. And yes, there will be a 4th book. You can read some of my fashion and beauty articles on-line at www.howtospendit.com (the luxury goods magazine of the Financial Times).

With thanks again, Karen

Hi Ka-renne!! We live in Javerlhac et La Chapelle St Robert. Your books almost sound like my life - especially when I moved here, sans mari! He arrived when all the work was done. He isn't here a often, due to his work. I am loving your books and they are similar in humor to Mary Moody's books when she lived in Lot. Have you read her books? I am Australian, that's why I ask! One day, hopefully, it would be an absolute pleasure to meet you. Ruth

Hi Karen. Just reading your book 'Tout Sweet' which I discovered while looking for books set in France. I love France and go to Collioure every year with my husband, little boy and sometimes the parents in law. I absolutely love the way you write. The book is funny and poignant at the same time. I only bought it yesterday and have almost finished. I can't wait to read the others!

:( Minipompom, so sorry I can't make your book signing, and I was so looking forward to it. The dastardly trains have scuppered my plans. I hope that it all goes well and that Biff gets utterly spoilt.
Until the next UK signing, is there another way I can pick up a signed copy?

Bonjour Karen et Biff! Here in Los Angeles, I just finished Tout Soul and I wanted to thank you for your writing, for sharing your experiences, and for the valuable reminder about the importance of gratitude and resiliency in the search for happiness. I always tell myself that change is the one constant in life, but your books have been part of a series of nudges that the universe has sent my way to be sure I learn that happiness, is very often, simply a choice. Thank you for sharing your adventures and opening your heart to your readers. You have a beautiful talent and I look forward to reading more from you in the future.

I live in the United States. Your books are amazing.I read the first one, then realized that there were two more.Books are my anti depressants and yours lift me up and take me away to France.I have been unable to 'march on' after my divorce from a marriage of over 32 years.Your relationship with Biff reminded me how blessed I am to have my three cats in my life and that maybe, just maybe I am truly fine on my own with them.Thank you, wonderful writer.Keep writing.
