tout sweet china

My agent emails to say that she has sold the Chinese rights for Tout Sweet and it will be translated into Chinese. I am very pleased obviously but amazed: who in China is going to want to read about a Brit relocating to rural France? But as a friend points out, if just 0.000000000001 per cent of the Chinese population buy Tout Sweet, Biff will be sleeping in a mink-lined doughnut before he knows it (just joking of course, as obviously Biff would not like anything lined in a fellow furry creature.) Now, how do I go about finding if there is a Chinese equivalent of Oprah Winfrey?

That's great. just think you'll be getting fan mail in Cantonese soon, lol...hope you're lingua-chinois is up to the task.

As for China's Oprah, her name is Yang Lan and she is one of the most prominent media figures in the Oriental state.

Lol, just good old fashioned investigative journalism.

She also garners weekly viewing figures of around 200 million in China, compared to Oprah's paltry 7 million. Aint that food for thought?

She owns a company called Sun Media Investment Holdings Ltd and has just signed a contract with U.S. artists agency CAA (who represent likes of Simon Cowell, Cameron Diaz, etc)
