Another good omen: the book shop in the village has almost sold out for the second time and is down to one copy (thanks to all my loyal friends in France trooping in to buy it.). And I've just discovered that Tout Sweet is no 2 on Amazon's list of 'hot new releases' [travel writing] ahead of Stephen Fry and er....Roy Hattersley.

Our copy arrived this morning from the inestimably efficient Amazon, and will take pride of place next to Susie's trilogy in the cottage. A brill read. You must be uber proud.

Having bought a copy from Christies in Gencay. Saturday, 2 days before publication date. Excellent!

The book is well written and very witty with strong likeable characters. You cannot help but fall in love with the author's character. She seems like a Brigid Jones let loose in the French countryside, getting into a lot of funny situations with both ex-pat English and French locals alike, as she adjusts to a totally different way of life.

This book will make you laugh out loud, it's such a great read. It was difficult to put down once I had opened the front cover.
