blue hyacinth

February 26, 2007

A single blue hyacinth has appeared in the flower bed in the courtyard. Having never grown anything in my life (apart from bug-riddled carrots in my grandad's allotment as a child) I am thrilled. I shoved the bulbs in last spring, not imaging that they would actually grow but voila - they have. Does this mean I have ‘les doigts verts?’

Today I wore: flower-print Marni skirt, brown suede knee boots, scarlet cashmere v-neck from Benetton.
